The BibleGuide.org Journey

I’m so glad that you’ve arrived at Bibleguide.org and you are now part of our web audience. BibleGuide.org is not a typical website. It’s a site about helping you mature in the realm of spirituality. It is a site about the study of Biblical matters. If you learn about God from this site, and you feel empowered to do great things, wonderful, that’s really what this project is all about.
So, how did it get started? A few years ago a mentor in the faith and fellow preaching colleague of mine approached me. He said something like, “have you thought about the power of the internet in reaching out to the world?” I had. But, at that time I hadn’t the appropriate tools to apply a vision in reaching those in the world that learn by the Internet.
So I searched out wisdom from those who knew about web design and layout and visual optimization. Then I relied heavily on both members of my family and extended spiritual family who specialized in these technological areas. From 2008-2009 the organization process of planning out a website seemed to be a real possibility. Now in 2010 there is a new web presence at BibleGuide.org. To all those who have helped me in this journey please know you are all loved for your leadership.
My name is Jared “J.R.” Rosado. I’m a New Testament Christian. I am from Orlando, Florida. My lovely wife and I were married in May of 2006. We have one son who was born in September of 2008. I have preached full-time since June of 2006. I worked with the Milwaukee Avenue church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas from 2006 through 2008, and currently preach with the McRae Road church of Christ in Camden, South Carolina.
The first sermon I ever preached was entitled, “the Right Kind of Heart”. I felt honored to preach this sermon at the South Bumby Church in Orlando. I had so much encouragement from my hometown “spiritual anchors” that I decided shortly thereafter to focus my life around being a preacher of both “truth” and “peace”. I mention this sermon because I hope you will be able to see, on this website, that I believe we all need “the Right Kind of Heart” in Bible study.
As far as the Bible goes, I do have some favorites. My favorite Old Testament book is Esther. My two favorite New Testament books are Hebrews and Acts.
I have a few hobbies. I love reading good books. I really enjoy playing the Violin and Viola. I enjoy cooking in the kitchen and out on the grill. One person once asked, “ ‘What is your favorite season’, to which I seriously replied, “my favorite season is football season”. So that’s of course my favorite sport to watch.
I do not drink alcohol. My beverage of choice is a nice cold glass of sweet tea. I love watching my wife cook the tea on the stove and then watch my son stir the sugar into the pitcher with a big friendly smile. It is truly the simple things that make life thrilling.
I believe education is very important and that we should all strive to set a goal to learn something new each day. I attended High School in Winter Park, Florida and college at Florida College, in Temple Terrace, Florida.
Well, now you know about BibleGuide.org and quite a bit about me. So, if you have any spiritual questions we hope this site will help answer many of those inquiries. I hope you will find BibleGuide.org to be an assistant to you spiritually. If there is any spiritual matter you wish to personally discuss feel free to e-mail me by going to the “contact” section of this website.
Yours Truly,
J.R. Rosado.
Many ask from time to time about “specific religious beliefs”. Here are three of my beliefs about the Bible, about Salvation, and about eternal life.
About The Bible:
I believe that the Master’s pages serves humankind better than any other book or personal belief. The Bible is it’s own creed and we don’t need to formulate our own creeds because anything less than the Bible would be too brief and anything more than the Bible would be too much. The Bible is all sufficient (2nd Timothy 3:16) and “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence”
(2nd Peter 1:3).
About Salvation:
God has a plan to save found in Romans 10:17, John 3:16, Acts 2:38 & Mark 16:16.
About Everlasting Life:
All converted believers can have the hope of living in heaven with God and Jesus and all those who have been faithful to God’s requirements according to 2nd Timothy 4:8 & Colossians 1:5&12.
